In 2005, Kris Bark was preparing to open his first Pet Store. During his market research stage he was unable to find an affordable EPOS system that could fulfil the requirements of a typical Pet Store. Some tracked sales well, some had reordering facilities etc but none had features that could store animal sales, sophisticated weigh out tracking, monitor and record staff cleaning and feeding tasks etc.
After graduating from university he consulted a computer programmer named Daniel Smith, as to whether it would be feasible to create what was not available commercially on the market. Following the success of his first shop, he decided to open a much larger pet store and integrated the same product there. After serious thought, Dan and Kris decided it may be viable to sell the newly created Pet Shop Management Software to other stores. Every new store that the programme was installed in had different ways of doing things and therefore the programme was improved, adapted and amended with more and more features. Premier EPOS was to be the company to sell this product as Kris had extensive GIS experience and believed that the pet industry should benefit from customer mapping technology, normally only available to governments and large companies.
Since then Premier EPOS have over 180 pet stores in the UK and Ireland who use our software with numbers growing every day. As the years have passed our software has become more advanced and designed around the customer with a customisable sales screen so the customers feel in control of their system. As time went on with the number of customers rising, other businesses had heard how customisable our software was. We then created different software’s for different types of business, starting with the convenience management software which attracted a lot of off licences etc. We now have 4 different versions software

- Salon Management Software
We are expanding in different areas and business and feel we could possibly be the best when it comes to personalizing and customising software to meet your requirements.
We have a variety of customers ranging from Pet Shops to Winery’s, Bars to Mega Marts, and Hairdressers to Noodle Bars.
In 2009 Premier EPOS felt the need to move into a bigger office as they had outgrown the current office they moved into a larger office two doors away from Kris’s pet shop so this enabled him to keep an eye on both businesses.
2010 was another successful year, due to expansion Kris and Dan felt it was time to hire 4 new staff in the hope this will help the business expand even more.
2011 we hope to be another successful year and look to move again due to outgrowing the current office we are looking to move at the end of March to an 8000sq ft unit were we hope to settle for a good few years.
